Babri verdict: Pawaiya says victory of 110cr Hindus, Chouhan says truth prevails

BHOPAL: BJP leaders have welcomed the Special CBI court verdict for acquitting all the accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case and said that it proved no conspiracy was hatched. Former BJP minister Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, who was among the accused, said the verdict is the victory of honour of 110 crore Hindus. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the Congress has been exposed and truth has finally triumphed."I salute India's justice system. Today's decision is as historic, courageous and unprecedented as the decision by the Supreme Court to recognise Ram Janmabhoomi. The verdict is a defeat of the forces that have oppressed Hindu society. It's the victory of Hindu faith and honour of 110 crore Hindus," Pawaiya told TOI over phone from Lucknow after the verdict.He further said, "For 24 years Hindu leaders and saints were being maligned and stigmatised all over the world on this issue. Our houses were raided like we are thieves and dacoits. Sections ranging from treason to looting and robbery were imposed. But the court today made it clear that the incident of December 6, 1992 was not planned. If it was, Ashok Singhal would not have appealed to the followers from Bali for Kar Sewa."Pawaiya said that the CBI could not produce evidence against any one of the 49 accused in the case. "At the behest of the then Congress government at the Centre, this conspiracy, based on the forged documents, collapsed. Today the forces have been defeated which have denigrated and maligned the Hindu society. Being the largest but non-violent movement in the world will become the subject of research in future," said Pawaiya.Madhya Pradesh chief minister also welcomed the decision and said that it was Congress who had created the conspiracies. "Today's day is a very important day when the historic decision of the Supreme Court has arrived. Congress has created so many plots and conspiracies and continued to oppose the construction of the Ram temple throughout its life. The slogan of `Jai Shri Ram' used to pierce the Congress like a thorn. It was Congress, who was involved in firing on kar sevaks," said Chouhan addressing BJP workers at the party;s state head office on Wednesday.The chief minister further said, "The Congress imposed false cases against saints, mahatmas and senior leaders LK Advani ji, Uma Bharti ji, Sadhvi Ritambhara ji. Today, the Congress is exposed and Truth has finally triumphed.Truth is truth and ultimately victory is the truth. Satyameva Jayate."Madhya Pradesh home minister Narottam Mishra said that truth cannot be defeated. "Truth can be upset but cannot be defeated. The CBI court verdict has proved that all the allegations against senior BJP leaders and saints in Babri Masjid demolition case were false and politically motivated. This decision is historic and welcoming," said Mishra.
